Scale: 8 weeks to go (approx)
Over the course of the past couple of weeks (from my one-to-one tutorials with lecturers, to my meeting with the external examiner) I have taken on board their comments with regards as to how I can develop my project further. I have developed my ideas further by experimenting with the scale of my initial drawings and sketches.
Alongside working with scale, I have also developed my work further by using screen print. These have proved to be very successfully, both conceptually and aesthetically.
Progression:
Intentions for over the coming weeks is to further develop my ideas through scale and also screen print, with the possibility of progressing onto working with dry point printmaking.

Development: 9 weeks to go!!!
Since my previous post, I have been working on developing the photographs I'd taken of the local landscapes. The development process and methods I have gone through have included glass work and painting in an abstract manner. Focusing more specifically on the painting aspect of my development I have painted sections of the image, photocopied elements of each painted image, enlarged it and as a result have created an abstraction the entire picture. This has related well to the concept and theme of my project as the viewer is unable to recognise what it is a painting of.
Next Stage of development will be to experiment with screen printing, working with a limited colour pallet; possibly working with predominantly black (a technique that I have worked with previously and that I am interested in developing further). I also intend to develop my chosen screen print images into a much larger scale, possibly considering having each image enlarged further and digitally printed (inquire with Glasgow/Edinburgh Print studio to use their facilities)
At this stage, I have a rough idea as to what my final outcomes will be, however nothing is for definite as of yet. At the current moment my intention is to develop my ideas further through photography, painting and printmaking, with the possibility of incorporating all within my final submission.
