People defined as a non-place

Marc Auge:
"...non-places are temporary spaces for passag
e..."

This statement has provided me with a starting point with regards to the direction I wish to take this project. In response to this, my approach is to define people as a "non-place".

Within this concept I intend to explore the idea that our bodies are merely vessels with the sole purpose of being interacted with. Your body is a temporary form, and I feel that it is a physical form of what does not fully exist: for example your soul/conscience.Your soul/conscience is intangible, it merely passes through your physical state for the length of time that you are alive.

"Your soul is conscience, your conscience is energy which has no form or location."

My intention for this project is to further my knowledge of spirituality and how I can apply this research to the successful concept development of the project. Also supporting my concept will be the research into the work of contemporary artists whose work looks at the theme of non-place, the methods and materials in which they use.
Artists' include: anish Kapoor, Linda Hutchison, Linda Green, Klaus titze, Jason Wallengren and Antony Gormley.

My main focus shall be on the work of Antony Gormley and the concepts behind his work: the human form with regards to human space in space and the relationship between the two.

Further consideration will need to given as to the suitable materials, processes and methods and also the expected outcome of the project. Currently, I am considering the use of installation as the product of a final art piece.
